OSCE Center conveyed to the Public Regional Broadcaster (ORTRK) “Yntymak” 1 computer, 2 netbooks, 2 TV-sets and hardware package as a technical assistance. The event was held on April 1, in Osh.
“Main objective of this event is support of pluralistic mass media, promoting idea of tolerance and peaceful construction as an effective instruments of conflict resolution”, — said Artiom Aznauryan, Advisor on Political Affairs of OSCE Center in Bishkek.
“Our mission is transparent and clear to everyone — promotion of interethnic understanding and support to peace building in the region. This idea runs like a golden thread through all our programs, both entertainment and analytical. All of them are intended to fulfill the task of social recovery”, — noted Daniyar Sadiyev, Director of ORTRK “Yntymak”.
Broadcasting company “Yntymak” was founded in 2012 by Internews Network in collaboration with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. Today it is the only mass media in the South of the country, providing the local population with information in three languages – Kyrgyz, Russian and Uzbek.
Regional Director of Internews Network in Europe and Eurasia Gillian McCormack thanked OSCE and the Government of Kyrgyzstan for support and facilitation of regional broadcaster.
“Two year ago “Yntymak” started broadcasting and presenting update information for citizens of Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts. Two years ago ORTRK “Yntymak” started airing creative and interesting programs. We hope that “Yntymak” will continue contributing for development of public broadcasting and satisfaction of population needs for independent and objective information”, — summarized Gillian McCormack.
Mira Karybayeva, Head of Department on Ethnical, Religious Policy and Collaboration with Civil Society of the KR President’s Administration:
“Issues of language and interethnic relationship became the keystone put in the basis of National Strategy of Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic. We hope to continue cooperation with all interested parties and encourage further positive unity of country cizitens”.
